Morrow House

A fictional hospitality website direction built around a sense of place, room context, and a clear booking path.

This design study was created independently and was not commissioned by the business shown.

The business

Morrow House is a fictional independent hospitality concept: a small, design-conscious stay where the atmosphere of the place matters as much as the room itself.

The study imagines a business that needs its website to communicate the setting, show the rooms honestly, answer practical questions, and make the direct next step easy to find.

What needed to be clearer

For this independent study, we imagined a hospitality website where the atmosphere was difficult to understand quickly, room context sat too far from the main story, and booking information required too many steps to reach.

The issue was not a lack of quality in the stay. It was that the digital presence did not make the quality easy to recognize.

What we decided

Let the place lead. Let the next step follow.

The direction is intentionally calm. The work uses imagery and sequence to make the decision feel clear rather than adding more interface to explain it.

01

Start with atmosphere

Lead with the sense of place before asking visitors to navigate a list of rooms and features.

02

Bring room context forward

Show the room experience alongside the story so visitors can understand what the stay actually includes.

03

Make booking visible

Keep the booking path present, clear, and easy to return to from the main pages.

The build

Depth beyond one homepage.

This is a concept direction rather than a commissioned production build. The study nevertheless shows the page sequence, responsive thinking, and conversion path the work would need.

Homepage

Atmosphere, place, rooms, and the direct booking action.

Rooms and stays

Interior context, practical details, and a clear route back to availability.

Guest journey

What happens before arrival, during the stay, and when a visitor needs an answer.

Responsive direction

Large imagery becomes a focused mobile sequence with the booking path kept close.

Accessibility

Readable type, semantic structure, meaningful image alternatives, and keyboard-friendly actions.

Testing plan

Browser, mobile, form, link, performance, and launch verification before publication.
